One security move every business owner should make this week

If I could only get a small business to do ONE security thing, it’d be this:
Turn on multi-factor authentication (MFA) on every business email account. Including yours. This week.
Email is the master key. Your bank, your payroll, your vendors — password resets for all of them flow through the inbox. If someone gets into your email, they don’t need to “hack” anything. They just click “forgot password” everywhere.
MFA breaks that chain. A stolen password alone stops being enough — the attacker also needs the code from your phone. It takes about five minutes per account, costs nothing, and there’s no hardware to buy.
Start with email, then your bank and anything that moves money. And yes, text-message codes are fine — don’t let perfect be the enemy of done.
If the team groans about the extra step, remind them it’s the price of never getting locked out of your own business.
